The North San Diego County Antique & Collectible Show October 2011 Newsletter
Thanks to all the dealers who attended the September 11,2011 show. We had a special 911 tribute presented by Mick Richmond that went over well with all of us. Thank you Mike for all your hard work on a great tribute to 911. This month we will have several exciting new dealers at our antique show. They are Miles Billeter, Mike Long and Jacob, please stop by and say hi and introduce yourselves.
Mr. Joe Paytas has given up the leadership at his antique store at 629 W. Grand Ave in Escondido. The new manager is Sharon Howey, and she is in the process of changing the store to an antique mall and consignment center. Dealer spaces will be available at a reasonable price, please call 760-805-1242 for more information. We have decided to get a dealer space at 629 W. Grand Ave. Joe told us that the store gets great foot traffic, so give Joe a call if you want to get on this ground floor opportunity.
At The North San Diego County Antique & Collectible Show a space with two eight foot tables and one 6 foot table is $85. One eight foot table in the main room or in the foyer is $50. Please bring your own lovely table clothes. Lattice is an extra $10 and electricity is free. Payment received before October 1, 2011 is $5 less. All payments must be received by Thursday,6, 2011 or your verbal reservation is cancelled. Due to last minute no shows, space will not be held for you without payment received.
Set up begins at 7 am. Dealers must be set up by the 9 am opening. This means that if you have not arrived by 8:30 am your space will be filled by a neighboring dealer. There is no refund for late arrivals or no shows. 72 hour notice is required for a refund or roll-over of fees to the next show. With the indoor location, the show goes on rain or shine.
Technically, food is not allowed to be brought into the Center, but since there is no food service available you can eat and drink in your space or outside. Just be discreet. There are many good restaurants just across the street.
Admission to the public is free and opens at 9 am. The show closes at 3pm. There is no early admittance.
Loading and unloading can be done on either the circular drive on Escondido Blvd. (vehicles must be moved to the Maple Street lot after unloading) or the ramped parking lot on Maple Street beginning at 7 am. The Center has a few dollies and carts we can use, but they are not guaranteed, so, if you need to, bring your own cart.
Remember, please check out the El Cajon antique show on Wednesday, October 12 2011. The show is great with many good deals for dealers and customers wanting to add to their collections. You can contact Ann Miller @ 619-823-8766
If you would like to join us for the October 9, 2011 show, please send your check made out to Tim Swift to 1860 Guilder Glen, Escondido, CA 92029. (858 232-9474). Look forward to seeing you in September, Tim and Angela Swift
